Arzelia "Pat" Mae Rodgers Jones

January 8, 1964 - December 26, 2018

 

Arzelia “Pat” Mae Jones, age 54 of Fayette, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018. Services will be Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Victory Temple House of Refuge with Bishop T.R. Cole and Pastor Elder A. Barnes officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior the service at the church. Burial will follow at Bankhead Cemetery in the McKinney section.

Arzelia “Pat” Mae Jones was born on January 8, 1964 to Sally Mae Rodgers and the late Larry Charles Rodgers. She was a hospitality worker at Victory Temple House of Refuge.

She was preceded in death by her father, both grandfathers, and one grandmother.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Laterika Rodgers (Earnest); her mother, Sally Rodgers; sister, Kathy Duncan (Steve); special sisters, Kay Edmonds and Jennifer Baker; two brothers, Ray Rodgers (Tammie) and Larry Rodgers Jr. (Tiffany); two grandchildren, Iceses Rodgers and I’terik Rodgers; aunts and uncles, Mary Sparks (Stevie), Ada Cole, Clyde Cole (Lois), Bobby Cole (Kim), Larry Cole (Charlene), Willie Cole, Tony Rodgers, (Ruby Nell), Timothy Cole (Betty); grandmother, Viola Cole; special friend, Charlie Ed Wilson; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends; and a special cousin, Dr. T.C. McKinney.

…Until we meet again, those special memories of you will always bring a smile if only I could have you back for just a little while. Then we could sit and talk again just like we used to do. You always meant so very much and always will. The fact that you are no longer here will always cause me pain, but you’re forever in my heart until we meet again.
