Van Alan Thomas, age 50, of Carbon Hill, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014. He served in the United States Navy and was a 1982 graduate of Fayette County High School.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Saragossa First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Saragossa First Baptist Church, with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Don Graham will officiate.
Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his Dad-Robert Clarence Thomas, Sr.; Mom-Mary Edith Hughes McDonald; Niece-Amanda Locke; Grandma-Allie Mae Hayes Hughes; Grandpa-Roy Francis Hughes; Grandma-Amy Thomas; Grandpa-Robert F. Thomas.
He is survived by his Wife-Connie Harrison-Thomas; Son-Joshua Alan Thomas; Sisters-Jo Thomas Logan and Kim Thomas Locke; Brothers-Robert Thomas, Jr. and Jeff Thomas.
Pallbearers will be Danny Mays, Joe Nix, Tommy Knight, Daniel Locke, Wayne Madden and Gabe Reece.
